about [c0n]

The c0n clan (c<zero>n) was formed by a group of graduate students and computer support staff at Florida State University.  Our name comes from the abbreviation for the building in which we normally play (Conradi building).  Since the start of our twice weekly open games we have added other members to our clan, most either FSU students, their friends or their significant others.

If you are a clan who wants to challenge us, drop a note on our message board.  We play by the following rules:

  • Standard game rules (100 game speed, no gravity mod).  Games will be played in Tournament mode.
  • Both sides choose maps at least 1 day in advance.  No changing maps at the last moment.
  • Maps (ours and yours) will be standard issue, downloaded from NaliCity.  No "special" maps.
  • We'll play on our server or yours as long as the pings are fair.  If we play on our server our clan members on LAN will up their pings to cable (~110).
  • We don't cheat, we won't play with those who do.  Our server runs latest CSHP and we expect the same of the other side.  We allow observers on our server and expect to be allowed the same.
  • Once we agree to a set of maps, game type, number of games, server(s) to play on, game time, number of players, etc we will stick to the agreement.  We expect the same courtesy.  Any last minute change or no show will result in a forfeit.  We won't change the rules in the last minute and if we can't field the promised number of players we will forfeit the game unless the other side agrees to the change.

If your clan plays this way, we would like to play you in CTF or TDM.
